Days of Action February 3 - 5

Take a Bold Step in Defence of the Rights of All!

Demonstration in Quebec City on January 30

Actions are being held across Quebec and Canada from February 3 to 5, to put forward the following demands:

1. That the Canadian government denounce the January 27th U.S. presidential decree banning citizens of seven countries from entering the U.S..

2. That the government grant permanent residency to those crossing the border from the U.S., that it revoke the Canada-U.S. Safe Third Country Agreement that blocks most refugee claimants from entering Canada via the U.S. to seek asylum, and that it eliminate the list of Designated Countries of Origin that blocks citizens of over 40 countries from seeking asylum in Canada.

3. An end to the indefinite detention of immigrants, that permanent residency be granted to migrant workers and that collaboration with U.S. border agents be ended.

4. Repeal the laws that attack the people, including the Zero Tolerance for Barbaric Cultural Practices Act and C-51, and put an end to security certificates.

The PMLQ calls on all to participate in the Quebec days of action to express our profound solidarity with the Muslim community of Quebec following the January 29th shooting.
